Can It Get Any Weirder?

Remember Republican Vito Fossella? He was the congressman who was arrested for DUI and had his mistress bail him out of jail. Wait, it gets worse. After his mistress bailed him out, he later admitted to having a child with her and has stated he will not seek reelection. How's that for family values? Well, there's another family matter about to hit the GOP in NY-13.

Republican candidate to replace Fossella, Francis H. Powers, has a son that is also seeking the same seat. His son, Francis M. Powers, is seeking the Libertarian Party's nomination for New York's 13 Congressional District.
"This is not about my dad," said the younger Powers, 47, a master carpenter from Clifton who plays and sings with the Staten Island band Box of Crayons and runs an indie record label called Penny for the Guy Records. "I'm running against the Republican candidate.

[...]

"We can't have the Republicans take this seat again," he added. "A vote for my father is a vote for the straight Republican ticket."
Can we just chalk this up to another Dem pickup? Actually, there is another Republican in the race so the father son duo probably won't get to continue their feuding.

It's going to be an awkward Father's Day at that Powers family bbq.

Yeah I've got a feeling he's not buying dad a gift this year. I'm not sure precisely the definition of disarray but I'm almost positive it has to have GOP in there somewhere.
