McCain to Ditch Teleprompted Speeches
After delivering one of the worst prepared speeches since Al Gore, John McCain's camp has decided to ditch the teleprompter in exchange for impromptu speeches. Personally I don't see McCain being any better at impromptu either. It seems to get him in trouble just as much if not more than a prepared speech does. For instance, this morning's appearance on The Today Show where McCain impromptully says bringing the troops home isn't important. Or the time Joe Lieberman had to correct McCain about Iran allowing al Qaeda into Iraq. Or the impromptu time McCain called "how do we beat the bitch" a good question. Unprepared or prepared, either way seems like a gamble to me.
