It's No Big Deal Really

So you invade a country, remove its dictator and kill his sons, occupy its land, impose some sort of "voting democracy," and when your first choice at its new leader, Ahmed Chalabi, doesn't pan out you install another quasi-democratically elected yes-man, and when he too starts to develop a mind of his own and say things the imperialists don't like you first say he was mistranslated. When that same freshly installed quasi-democratic leader still intends to stand by his rightly quoted words you say that he can't possibly mean what he's saying, that you know exactly what the subjects want. When, at the limits of all your patience, that imperialistically installed leader still stands by what he said and said it just the way he meant it, your next move is to say that he never really knows anything about what he says--he merely just speaks to whomever will listen. When all that fails, you just pretend that everything the puppet prime minister said is nothing different than what's been said all throughout this glorious war. Let freedom reign, yes indeed.
