More GOP Lies (Update)

Indicative of how the GOP plans to run their entire election cycle, Republican Congressman Mike Turner of Ohio fraudulently wrote in an op-ed that he was proud to support the recent passage of the 21st century GI Bill. A bill that he along with George Bush and John McSame flatly opposed. But unlike McCain who didn't even bother to show up for work the day of the vote and George Bush who backed down on his veto threat, Mike Turner actually VOTED AGAINST it.

This goes beyond lying. They aren't even trying to cover up their deceit. They're printing their lies in bold type for everyone to see. And never will the MSM ever make them account for it. The Republicans are proud of lying and gladly parade it off as truth. They get away with it, so why bother with being honest?

*Update:

And leading the way with Republican lies is their candidate and heir to the Bush presidency, John McCain. Again today McCain claimed he would veto every wasteful pork barrel spending bill. To be frank, he's lying. He's already said that he would not veto funding to Israel, which is pork. He already said he would not, after he first said that he would, veto funding for the Florida Everglades. Best of all, McCain already said that he wouldn't veto every pork bill but that he would judge them on a needs basis. Judging them on a needs basis is very different from vetoing EVERY bill.

You know it takes a lot for me to call someone a liar. It also takes a lot for me to not sugarcoat something and just be blunt. But truth of the matter is he's lying. It's not even possible to veto every pork bill and he knows it. Either he has the onset of dementia and can't remember that he's already backtracked on his pledge to veto every pork bill, or he just flat out doesn't care because he knows he can get away with lying.
