Republican Deficit Grows

Republican White House says deficit to get even larger in 2009 to $490 billion.

Meanwhile a quick stroll down memory lane has John McSame promising to balance the budget by the end of his first term only later to recant and change it to his second term. If McSame as Bush is elected we can expect another 9 years of budget deficits. And that's only if McSame doesn't change his promise once again. There's no reason to believe he won't. Another four years of GOP rule gives us no direction in Iraq and no control over fiscal matters. One thing is certain, McCain's Iraq Forever plan won't balance the budget. So he'll either have to pull out of Iraq, which he says is fine with him or he'll have to run fiscal deficits his entire presidency, which according to his ever changing promises on budget matters would be fine with him.
