It shouldn't surprise any of us that politicians are stupid. None of them are immune from it. John Edwards is the latest idiot. I would be lying if I didn't say that this one surprised me. And I would be lying if I didn't admit that he completely fooled me. Of all the politicians I've been around, and yes I once hung out with Edwards for a weekend in Chicago, he was one I never thought would do something like this. As private as I think these matters are and should be, he did owe it to his supporters to come clean. I'm deeply embarrassed by him and expected better.
