More Attention Than It Deserves

"this and Paris Hilton are the kind of issues that seem to get a lot more attention than maybe some of us think they deserve." [John McCain, MSNBC Hardball, 9/17/07]

The world had nearly forgotten all about Paris. She was no longer in jail or no longer feuding with her bff. Every man in American had already seen her porn. It's safe to say she was old news. We had moved on. Moved on to more important things. Things like who will be our next president. Like how are we going to afford to put gas in our cars. Whether or not we should pump an extra couple gallons of gas or save that $10 for the grocery store. We were engaged like never before. 40 million Democrats showed up to vote in a primary-- triple anything the opposition party could boast. The president was guttering lower and lower in the polls. We were ready for the challenge to make America great again. And then, John McCain instead wants to focus attention on Paris Hilton and away from his party's failures. You were right John, it's way more attention than she deserves. Thanks John. We owe you one.
