My Thoughts

Here are some of my thoughts on this bailout thing.

If America really needs a bailout, and I'm not convinced we do, but if we do-- if it's so imperative that we spend one trillion tax dollars on companies who have failed in every regard of financial mechanics, then take that stupid George Bush off the TV begging for a bailout while spelling doom and gloom without one. He is the most unpopular president in modern American history. And probably the worst two-term president this country has ever had. His approval rating has been below 30% for two solid years. He has no legitimacy with the American people. Everyone knows it, so if it's so important that we have this bailout get Bush to shut up, tell the Republicans that they won't be tied into supporting their president if they vote for the bill and tell McCain not to suspend his campaign again.

That's how to pass this thing. As long as people think it's Bush's bill, it's not going to get the support it needs. Bailout or not, there is no reason this president should get anything from Congress. So if it's so important, get rid of Bush and the support will follow.
