WaPo: Republicans Fearing Obama Admin.

The Washington Post has one of the dumbest stories ever written in a national newspaper. Reading it reminds me of something that I would see in my college newspaper when a die hard Republican student would try to write an unbiased report on politics-- usually such stories are transparent to the core. The gist of the story is that "conservatives"-- whatever that may mean-- are fearing "liberals" in the Obama administration.

Some well-known Democratic activists are advising Obama on how to steer federal agencies, including a few whom conservative Republicans fought hard to keep out of power in the Clinton administration. They include Roberta Achtenberg, a gay activist whose confirmation as an assistant housing secretary was famously held up by then-Sen. Jesse Helms (N.C.), and Bill Lann Lee, who was hotly opposed by foes of affirmative action and temporarily blocked from the government's top civil rights job.

Conservatives fear that some of these Obama transition advisers are too far left on the political spectrum and are a sign of radical policies to come.

The whole thing is a really sad story. Sad in a sense that it's all make-believe. It doesn't matter what Republicans think. They lost. They are out of power. They do not get to choose who is in the new president's cabinet. Win an election and then you can decide who to put where.
