And Inhofe worries for America's future: "Those of you who think like I do, hope this country can hang on another 16 months."
ublican. George Bush (a Republican president) nationalized entire industries. He invaded countries on a whim costing a trillion dollars of tax payer money, the lives of thousands of troops and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians. He so mismanaged fiscal matters that he took the largest surplus in history and within 5 months time wiped it out. By the time he left office he had created the largest deficit in human history. His only domestic accomplishments were programs that grew government faster than at any time since FDR (NCLB, Medicare/b, Homeland Security). His legacy is that of a president that demonstrably grew the size of government, more than doubled the national budget, created the largest deficit ever and left us in a state of perpetual war. Eight years of George Bush equals the solidarity of true American-ness to the Republican Party. You can do whatever you like, bring the country to its knees, just be a Republican when you do it. Own it.
