A new CBS poll finds that a majority of Americans don't fully understand Democratic health care reform. It can be confusing no doubt. It seems though the best way to counter such confusion is to confront it head on. But when the media is this dumb, it's easy to understand that no amount of saturation is going to solve something like this:



Yes, Maria Bartiromo, a serious mainstream journalist actually asks Congressman Anthony Weiner why he isn't on Medicare.

There are many things wrong with the whole health care debate. None any less important than how the media is equating tea baggers who claim the president wants to kill old people and undesirables with those who are actually offering up ideas to reform health care. In this short exchange between Bartiromo and Weiner we see that no matter how dumb she is on the topic of health care, she's portrayed as presenting a logical counter response to the health care debate. It's the same for tea baggers and death panels. They are presented equally within the health care debate by the media.

There's no wonder at all why the CBS poll finds most people don't have a clue what Obama's health care reform even is when you consider just how ineffectively poor the mainstream media has become.
