After our back and forth last week with Fits News, which largely went unanswered by Fits, they have now responded with a larger blog post trying to tackle some of their "Democratic commenters." That would be me.
In short, Fits doesn't want to be blamed as "Republican apologists." We here at The Fold can't say that we blame them. That would be a lot of apologizing that no blog could handle. But I have to point out that my initial comment was not to "pimp" them as being Republican apologists. It was to point out that what they wrote was just plain wrong.
Fits seems bent on framing anything the president does, like all Republicans are doing, as a socialist agenda. That's fine and dandy; whatever floats your boat. But don't pretend that Obama did not openly run his campaign on increasing the role of government. He most certainly did. And guess what? He won. Not only did he handily beat an opponent that ran as a so-called "conservative," he got more votes than anyone in history. Pointing that out to Fits is not wanting an apology, because we all know tough macho manly Republicans never apologize. It's simply demonstrating that what they wrote is wrong. Very wrong.
