Sir Paul Wants Waiting Period Before Congress Votes (2 Updates)

Most of what Sir Rand Pauls says, he just says because he likes to hear himself talk. He's the smartest man in the world, so it's understandable that he has an opinion on everything.

We've already heard his mega-ideas to remake America into its 19th century version. He won't admit the earth is older than 6,000 years.  Medicare, except the payments to doctors like himself, is illegal. Social Security, all of it, should be banned. The Civil Rights Act went way too far when it said that businesses have to allow non-whites.  TARP should be repealed, except for the taxpayer money that went to the bank where he keeps his campaign funds.  These are just some of his proposals to turn America back to 1865.

In a little less dramatic fashion, he espoused over the weekend that Congress should have a 20-day waiting period for every page length of a bill before voting.  That way it keeps them busy.  So busy that they won't be passing anymore laws.  This is a brilliant proposal.  Of course Sir Rand only means it just so long as Democrats are in charge.  Since they are out to destroy America, they should be stopped.

I hate to break it to him, but his "waiting period" would greatly hinder the GOP's ability to slash the deficit, rein in spending, shrink government and do its Revolutionary! Freedom Fighting thing.

About an hours drive from my house is Fancy Farm, Kentucky.  And it looks like I missed some real excitement this weekend by not going for a little stroll.  Not only did Sir Rand Paul deliver his Freedom Fighting speech about how Democrats are trying to destroy our country, President Lincoln also showed up to tell us that Rand Paul is his choice for U.S. Senate and that he is pro-secession, pro state's rights, and against Big Government.



I really didn't know it was possible to be that dumb.  If craziness is that indoctrinated and cheered that much by one of America's two major political parties, then we are in some serious trouble.  It's worse than I originally thought.

I have heard this many times and really never cared to comment on it.  Given Rand Paul's record of apostasy, it's becoming necessary to list the fact that he never received a bachelors degree before being admitted to medical school.  This is really no big deal since our modern higher education progression is a post-WWII invention; however, when you consider that his father was a congressman at the time Paul was admitted to his dad's alma mater, it becomes increasingly clear that nobility, family wealth and status explains why he doesn't like rules and laws, except for the ones that benefit him of course.
