Romney Gives Another Anti-Base Answer, Says He Loves All the Amendments

Mitt Romney, for being a front-runner, has already had his fair share of non-Republican answers to some prevailing important Republican issues.  For instance, he's on record as saying that tax rates on the wealthy might have to go up.  Saying taxes should increase is nothing short of political suicide in the GOP.  Yet Romney still manages to be the probable nominee.  He's also on record stating that you can't just cut your way to economic growth.  Both of those statements combined would be enough to shutter anyone's chances at winning the Republican nomination.  But Mitt Romney is very wealthy and can afford to make such costly mistakes. Literally, he can afford it because he will spend 10 times the amount any of his opponents can spend to win primaries.

His latest base-killing comment just might come back to haunt him though.

"...Mitt Romney told a rally attendee concerned about gun rights in North Dakota this morning that he likes “all the amendments.” The crowd chuckled, and Romney went on to say that he’ll defend the First and Second Amendments, and the other 24 too, it seems."

We have to remember Republicans don't like all the amendments.  They despise the 14th, 16th and 17th amendments vehemently.  No wonder Republicans can't get excited about this guy.
