The Last Time McCain Uses a Green Backdrop

I'm probably late with this one too, but Steve Colbert is asking for submissions to a "green screen challenge" to help make John McCain's rebuttal to Barack Obama's nomination more interesting. When compared to Obama's, McCain's looks like an AARP rally. Here's some of the submissions on YouTube. Most are hilarious. This one is my favorite.

I understand Republicans are cheering on McCain's proposal for 10 town hall debates, but unless the crowds get to be handpicked like a majority of GOP meetings are, it's the worst idea the Republicans could ever come up with. Sure Obama has his unprepared flubs as well. But Obama charismatically feeds off the thousands in attendance, and the thousands piling up outside who couldn't get into the packed arenas. In the overall scheme of things, flubs and all, Obama pulls off some pretty impressive rallies. The only thing that excites McCain and the blue hairs hand selected to be in attendance at his campaign stumps is a glass of prune juice.
