A quick glance at the GOP website and it becomes very obvious how the Republicans plan to deal with Obama's connections to Rezko. There is no denying Rezko raised money for Obama. He most assuredly did. But he also raised money for former speaker Republican Denny Hastert. Rezko was a politician's money maker. He raised money for both parties. When Illinois was dominated by Republicans, Rezko did the deed. After 2002 when the Democrats swept Illinois on a blue wave, Rezko conveniently became a Democrat. You won't find an important Illinois politician that didn't accept a fund raiser from Rezko.
What the GOP will do is try their hardest to make Obama the only recipient of Rezko money. They will totally ignore, with great help from the media, that in 2003 Rezko helped raise $3.8 million for our very popular and Anointed Leader George W. Bush.
From the Times:
Rezko has had ties to each of those politicians in some fashion over the years, from a once-close relationship with Obama, a first-term U.S. senator, to co-hosting a $3.8 million Chicago fundraiser in 2003 for President Bush. [Illinois] Lt. Gov. Patrick Quinn also received contributions from Rezko's former development company. In the GOP Fantasy World it's perfectly acceptable for Republicans to accept donations and fund raisers from Rezko just not Democrats. Funny how GOP nominee John McCain claims to be running as a change candidate too. The only change coming from the GOP is their destined will to change the past and forget history.
