All Within This Week (Update)

Completely under the radar this week, whether intentional by the MSM or not, are two mammoth sized flip flops by Bush and McCain to a more pro-Obama stance. Sure the MSM has reported Bush's change in policy regarding talks with Iran but it hasn't reported that the new policy is the one Obama has been advocating for over a year now. And sure the MSM has reported McCain's complete flip flop on troop levels in Afghanistan but not in a way to suggest that McCain has adopted Obama's plan in doing so.

So within a matter of 4 days we have the president and the heir apparent both switching demonstratively to Obama's policy recommendations and no talk of appeasement or foreign policy naiveté. What the GOP will try next is to make it look like Obama has switched to Bush's and McSame's plans. And the media will fall right in line just like good little stewards. In fact it's already happening.

*Update:

White House confirms diplomatic envoy being sent to Iran.

Even more astonishing the Bush administration is now saying despite a complete reversal in policy that "nothing has changed." I've always wondered how super tough macho men send diplomatic envoys to NOT appease terrorists and it appears the way to do it is to send the envoy to listen only:
"This will be a one-time U.S. participation," said Perino. "We will be there to listen. We are not there to negotiate."
So Bush is sending a diplomatic envoy to Tehran to listen only. Yeah right! Because if that envoy TALKS he will be appeasing terrorists and that would never happen in the Republican Fantasy World. He'll just sit there and listen. I bet the American envoy will do that stare down thing like McSame say's he'll do.
