This isn't surprising. Pretty much the entire country saw this coming. What will be interesting is to see the right wing reaction. They will most assuredly character assassinate the man.
I think Colin Powell did our country a huge disservice during the run up to the Iraq war. He was probably the one person who could have single handily prevented the war. And he failed. Wait, is that a character assassination?
