0-- Number of times Sarah Palin referenced Bush
No, in fact, when we talk about the Bush administration, there's a time, too, when Americans are going to say, "Enough is enough with your ticket," on constantly looking backwards, and pointing fingers, and doing the blame game.Bush, however, is not the past. He is the present. He is the current two-term president of the United States. If we can't mention him then there is no use in having this election.
There have been huge blunders in the war. There have been huge blunders throughout this administration, as there are with every administration.
But for a ticket that wants to talk about change and looking into the future, there's just too much finger-pointing backwards to ever make us believe that that's where you're going.
After this election is over Palin's words, the GOP's words, will be emblematic of how the GOP wanted Americans to view the next four years. They want us all to forget about the last eight and then trust them with another four. In their Fantasy World, that's how it works. If any Party is living in the past, it was reinforced in Palin's closing comments when she quoted the last two-term Republican president who left office 20 years ago. That's the past. As much as we would all like to forget Bush, we mustn't.
