So Sarah Palin says Obama is pals with terrorists but her own husband's connection to an Alaskan separatist group isn't terrorism? Not only was her stay-at-home husband a member of a political party that called for the secession of Alaska from the Union, Sarah Palin herself addressed the party via video phone.
Let's see what Sarah Palin's pal the founder of the Alaska Independence Party has to say about America.
"I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her damned institutions." Ouch, that's rather harsh isn't it? How 'bout this one from Sarah Palin's friend and AIP founder, [T]he fires of Hell are glaciers compared to my hate for the American government."
Wow, sure looks like Sarah Palin hates America. How can someone who loves America and is running for the highest office in the land have friends like Joe Vogler? Only in the Republican Fantasy World is this not an issue.
But enough about Palin, how about John McSame? Surely he doesn't have any connections to terrorists does he? Not if you don't consider his close relationship to G. Gordon Liddy as being pals with terrorists. Liddy spent over four years in a federal prison for his role in the Watergate break-in. Liddy also admitted a readiness to kill during the break-in if necessary. Liddy plotted to murder a journalist, plotted to murder with a "gangland figure" Howard Hunt to stop him from cooperating with investigators. Liddy also admitted plotting to firebomb The Brookings Institute. That's quite a bit of terrorist activity if you ask me.
McCain and Liddy are old buddies. Liddy has donated thousands of dollars to McCain's various campaigns over the years; Liddy even hosted fund raisers for McCain in Arizona. McCain has appeared on Liddy's television show where he praised his principles that have kept this nation great. McCain obviously thinks a domestic terrorist that has spent four and a half years in federal prison for his role in Watergate and someone who has plotted to kill numerous people for cooperating with the Watergate investigation has "principles" which have kept our nation great.
If we use the GOP's formula for being pal's with terrorists, Sarah Palin and John McCain have no better friends than terrorists.
Editor's Note:
The orignal posting misidentified Liddy's involvement in Watergate as Whitewater. Easy mistake and it's now been corrected. H/T to Michael.
Somehow, and I have no idea how, this post was lost. I had to reproduce it and load it back up. In the process I lost the comments that were listed. I do apologize.
