I just love this stuff. This is what keeps me blogging.
The man who voted for the $700 billion financial bailout, the same man who proposed an additional $300 billion bailout so the government can buy up bad mortgages which would effectively nationalize our lending industry, and the same man who presided as a high ranking Senator in the GOP controlled government for 6 solid years that increased government more than any time since FDR and single-handily gave us the largest deficit in history, calls Barack Obama a socialist. What a genius John McSame is. This entirely reflects a conversation me and Jaz have been having all weekend about certain standards only applying to Democrats, but when the same dysfunctional logic is applied to their policies they call it "reacting to a crisis." Or in Jaz's case he calls it derailing an argument.
No, call it what it is, it's socialism when John McCain does it as well. McCain tries to backup his answer by saying Barack Obama wants to redistribute wealth. Well, this may come as a shock to John McCain and other Fantasy World Republicans, but the greatest redistribution of wealth this nation has ever seen was the $700 billion bailout that John McCain supported and voted yes to. The only thing that would qualify as a larger redistribution of wealth would be John McCain's plan to enact an additional $300 billion mortgage bailout which would bring the total bailout to $1 trillion.
Let's get all this straight so Fantasy World Republicans can understand it. A person that supports and proposes a $1 trillion redistribution of wealth program is not a socialist. It's simply reacting to a crisis. But Barack Obama, oh yeah he's a socialist. The sad part is Republicans really believe their Party is the anti-socialist Party.
