It must really suck to have your whole world crumble before you. It also must really suck to see the war that was your heart's desire coming to an end and there's nothing you can do about it. After Iraq's cabinet overwhelmingly approved a security deal that removes all American troops from their occupied country by 2011 the Bush administration today called the agreement "aspirational."
The agreement is hardly an aspiration. It's an even bolder plan than President-elect Barack Obama proposed on the campaign trail. Once approved by the Iraqi Parliament it will be even less than an aspiration but a full fledged legally binding agreement.
Bush, the GOP, the neocons and the remaining 21% of Americans who amazingly still support his failed presidency have concluded for over five years that any timetable or any agreement calling for a timetable was a blueprint for defeat. This new security agreement that removes every occupying troop by 2011, if not sooner, is the opposite of every "aspiration" Bush and the GOP has ever had for Iraq, which was to have forever war. What will become of our Freedom Bombs and our Liberty Bullets when George W. Bush finally leaves office?
The best part about Bush's total denial of reality is that it no longer matters what George Bush says. It no longer matters what Fox News says. It no longer matters what the neocons say. It no longer matters what the right wing blogs say. Finally their World where George Bush is a popular president, Iraq had WMD, Saddam had something to do with 9/11 and only Democrats are socialists is but a footnote in one of the worst eras in American history.
