The Tax Cuts

Obama's $300 billion tax cut is larger and deeper than anything George Bush ever instituted. For I don't know, seven years now, the right wing-led GOP has claimed Bush's tax cuts constituted his largest claim to "conservatism." Along with pledging endless war, the only other talking point the right wing had to define Bush as a "conservative" were tax cuts. What will they now say about Obama?

Even though I absolutely reject any notion that attempts to portray Obama as a conservative, I have always maintained that he's rather moderate in terms of ideology. Throughout the entirety of the last year's presidential campaign we were mindlessly reminded just how liberal and socialist Obama was. Once again the right wing depiction just doesn't flow with reality.
