There may be nothing more cognitive of Republican/conservative hypocrisy than the "Values Voters" summit getting ready to start in Washington this weekend. There's no denying, these people really believe they embody true moral values and that they alone form the best representative group to advance such principles. It's a spectacle, truly it is.
Aside from that, because it does go much deeper than circle jerks, their hypocrisy is fundamentally ingrained into their very being. Heckler Congressman Joe Wilson, who yelled "you lie!" at the president when he said illegal immigrants would not be covered by health care reform, encapsulates the GOP perfectly. One would think Wilson would be staunchly opposed to illegal immigration, especially after a tirade as foolish as what he put on. But Joe Wilson actually introduced legislation to keep an illegal alien in the country. Blows your mind, I know.
Two months ago Rep. Wilson introduced legislation that would allow Sainey Fatty, an illegal immigrant, to live here freely and legally. Brings the term "you lie" to a whole new meaning.
I seriously doubt Wilson's legislation makes it to the MSM since that would require "journalists" doing actual research. Instead the MSM will focus on "racism" and he said/she said politics (tabloid journalism) rather than actually doing their jobs.
