CBO: $870 Billion House Health Care Reform Bill

Speaker Pelosi stated this evening that preliminary CBO reports indicated the House health care bill including the "public option" will cost $870 billion over the next 10 years and remain deficit neutral. With that in hand, it appears Pelosi will move forward with a robust public option that ties rates to Medicare. The House bill will also provide insurance coverage to 96% of Americans.

Meanwhile, in a galaxy far far away, disgraced former Speaker Newt Gingrich still thinks he's a Member of the House and vows Republicans will repeal health care reform once they take back the Hill in 2010.

Please, oh please run your campaigns on repealing health care for 300 million people. Please finally be telling the truth Fruity Newty.
