Bridging the Differences, President Obama Submits HCR Plan

President Obama unveiled his own version of HCR this morning in advance of this week's health care summit. The president's plan is said to contain improvements upon the Senate and House plans passed last year. This newest plan is written to be pushed through Congress by a majority rules process (astonishing I know). The bill still awaits a CBO score. Some highlights:
  • No public option
  • Exchange system
  • Grants federal government power to block insurance rate hikes
  • Destined for a majority vote
