The big news this morning from Europe besides the economic meltdown, is the Conservative Party's victory in the
British election. Somehow whack job Republicans are going to spin this as a victory for the GOP. They will claim this proves President Obama's unpopularity and that other governments are trying to go in the opposite direction of the US. Considering the Tories would be labeled as "liberals" by today's GOP elite and Fox News, I would have to say this is just more delusion settling in. The British Conservative Party fully supports universal health care, has a steadfast commitment to minimizing global warming, supports gay marriage and really didn't like George W. Bush. This is a victory for Republicans?? It always is.
Makes you wonder just how much today's GOP is holding America back if those views are considered "conservative" in the home of America's greatest ally.
