Ken Mehlman Says He's Gay

Ken Mehlman is now a gay advocate

Former RNC chairman and Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign manager says he's gay.

Coming out back then would have been a tragic end to his political career and to Bush's reelection. I don't know what's worse.  Living your whole life as a lie or belonging to a political party that forces you to live your whole life as a lie.

Mehlman now says he wants to work for gay issues.  A rather worthless endeavor since he's no longer in a position where he had ample opportunity to advance gay rights.  Symptomatic of Republican fiscal conservatism, only once they are out of power do they begin to care about their so-called principles.
