Lets Really Balance the Budget, I Dare Ya

Freedom Fighting Republicans have once again renewed their calls to amend the constitution.  Not just to strip birth right citizenship from people but to require the federal government to operate every year with a balanced budget. 

This only begs one question.  Why didn't they operate under a balanced budget when they controlled government?  Not one time did George Bush ever balance the budget.  Now that they are out of power, this has all of a sudden become a great concern to conservatives.  But when they had ample opportunity to prove they could-- and that government should-- operate under a balanced budget they did no such thing.  Instead they took a budget surplus and turned it into the largest deficit in history.  Anyone else with that kind of track record would never be taken seriously again when talking about fiscal responsibility, or much less still get to be called conservative.  Viva Bush!
