She would be right except for the small fact that Canada did indeed have a stimulus program equal to about $360 billion.  That's almost half of what President Obama ushered through shortly after taking office in 2009. Equally important, the country of Canada has population comparable to the State of California.  Canada's 2009 stimulus would be like the State of California issuing a $360 billion stimulus bill.  That's huge to say the least; and a far cry from saying Canada had no stimulus.
