Tuesday Quickies

• Speaker John Boehner's new found love of the War Power's Act seems to not only coincide with a Democrat in the White House but also contradicts a very expansive war powers bill he passed back in May.  As retired Maj. Gen. Paul D. Eaton notes, "the same body that voted to criticize the White House for using executive authority to open a conflict in Libya pass[ed] a bill that further concentrates executive power to wage war."

• The only conclusion right wing extremist and Republican Robert Spencer can come up with to describe the right wing invented marriage scandal of former Congressman Anthony Weiner is that he secretly converted to Islam. You see, everything to Republicans is a conspiracy and they are truly terrified of everything.

• Chris Hayes is coming to MSNBC.  I might actually start watching that station.  Probably not but at least having him on there almost makes me want to.

• Be very, very scared....Republicans sure are.  Nevada GOP House candidate started his campaign commercials by blasting fear of a Chinese takeover of America.  All because President Obama allowed it of course.  Boo!!  Just more proof Republicans are scared of the dark but portrayed in the media as tough guyism.

• John McCain, somehow, claims he never said AZ wildfires were started by illegal immigrants.  Later in his interview, he tried to claim that he never selected Sarah Palin as his running mate.
