Romney Would Be First Mexican-American President

As we head into South Carolina's primary with Mitt Romney's lead currently in double digits, it's almost safe to say Romney is going to be the nominee.  Sure all heck could break loose and Romney could fall from grace just like Gingrich did.  But that's highly unlikely at this point.

One thing, other than his tax returns and his religion, Romney has kept very quiet about is his Mexican ancestry and the fact that he still has a huge family in Mexico.  In fact, Romney's father was born in Mexico, making Romney not only eligible for Mexican citizenship but also 1/2 Mexican.  Or as we like to say it, Mexican-American.  Such ancestry would make Willard Mitt Romney the first Mexican-American president if he were to be successful in November.

The surname Romney doesn't sound Spanish so how does the whole Mexican ancestry happen?  Well, it turns out, Romney's Grandfather fled America to practice the Mormon norm of polygamy.  In 1907 his father was born in Mexico.  The Romney's then migrated illegally back to America to escape the Mexican Revolution when his father was 5.

Yes, get this right.  The probable GOP nominee is Mexican-American; is a product of polygamy; belongs to a church that actually waged war against the American government; believes God lives on Planet Kolob and that the Garden of Eden is in Jackson County, Missouri.  It's almost as if everything Republicans lie about President Obama is actually true for their nominee.
