Mark Kirk Cut Deal to Repeal DADT

Mark Kirk is to the best of my knowledge the only gay member of the U.S. Senate. Everyone in Illinois has known he is gay for a long time. Kirk is also a member of the U.S. military. So why in the world he would have to cut a deal in order to vote in favor of something that would make his lifestyle a little freer is troubling.
