I don't even know where I got it from. I'm sure I stole it from somewhere. And if I could remember I would give them credit for it. But I've been calling Republicans perpetual victims for at least two years, possibly longer.
They are always talking about how they are mistreated either by the media or by the public at large. They are always talking about how they are waging battles for freedom and are doing it alone. They are always the downtrodden; always scapegoated by liberals. They are, without a doubt, Perpetual Victims. One of my favorite summations of their perpetual victimization is from the comments section on this blog. Unless we agree with everything they say and want, they're victims.
Alas, Jon Stewart has an epic segment where he catches their self victimization and wraps it right around their necks. Stewart might owe me some royalties on this one. Considering I stole it from somewhere, I'll just call it even.
