There's a lot of very important and very easy things to hit Ron Paul on other than his newsletters from the 80s. His insistence the Bill of Rights, Social Security and Medicare (to name a few) are all unconstitutional and as president he would destroy all of them is enough to not vote for him. It's also enough for the media to have a heyday without having to keep stooping to the racist newsletters that he more than likely didn't write, didn't read and has disavowed hundreds of times. Him walking out on a CNN interview today because, once again, the newsletters were brought up is silly on his part and irresponsible on the part of the media.
Focus on the issues. Do Americans really want Social Security destroyed. Do they really want Medicare ended? Do they want $1 trillion cut from the federal budget in one year? Do they want child labor to once again become the norm in America? Issues do matter and there are plenty to talk about when you're interviewing someone who thinks America in 2013 should look more like it in 1865.
