Making Up New Rules

According to my friend Kent, this would mean that McCain takes money from Stephen Payne, the longtime Bush aide caught on tape soliciting donations for access to Bush. I think it's a pretty crappy stretch but since six degrees of separation is the new rule for funding campaigns, there's no defending this and one would have to engage "in some extreme parsing to attempt to differentiate" not applying the same rules to McCain.
