Round Up

I'm just now getting caught up on a bunch of news events that happened over the weekend while I was traveling. It seems like this was the worst weekend to leave my laptop behind. In any event, I've spent the better part of three hours catching up on some worthy items and getting a chuckle out of McCain's approach to the Iraqi government also endorsing Obama's plan to get our troops out of Iraq as soon as possible. It seems McCain's next step will be to switch over to Obama's Iraq plan just like he did Obama's Afghanistan plan-- here and here. No matter what McCain says, his plan is to have our troops in Iraq for at least 100 years, maybe longer. So any talk of McCain claiming he'll listen to the generals and use the situation on the ground to guide his withdrawal is hogwash.

Also, did anyone catch McSame referring to the Iraq/Pakistan border? Matt Yglesias has a funny post about it. In the last few weeks alone, McCain has referred to Czechoslovakia, a country that doesn't even exist, and a make-believe border between Iraq and Pakistan. These are not just gaffes or slips of the tongue, the guy's really just that dumb.

I'll try to get some more posts up today but so far I'm having terrible luck at getting caught up.
