I think what's behind a lot of the Republican talk about Obama being a celebrity is that they can't fathom someone with approval ratings above 25%. In all honesty, in their world George Bush is the most popular president in history and by far the greatest to ever serve. Could you imagine someone coming in and being more popular than him? Seriously, it would take the biggest celebrity in the world galaxy to be more popular and more liked than George Bush. In terms of why they think he's such a huge celebrity it makes perfect sense when you consider to them 25% is popular. No wonder they're scared of the guy.
