Site Updates

As readership grows I'm trying to keep The Fold as functional as possible. One thing I'm always picky about is a site that opens quickly. There's nothing worse than a site that takes forever to load. So I'm debating on whether or not to remove the TPM video on the top sidebar because on some days it seems to slow the site down. I'll be taking suggestions on that.

Ryan is proving invaluable as a research editor for me. He hasn't posted in a while but his contacts with Washington and his research skills keep me up to date and he can gut a bill in no time flat. I think he's a great edition to this site.

Also, as readership grows, I've added a Polling Center at the top on the tab bar. The Polling Center tracks all major polls and CQ Politics articles and summaries. It's a handy dandy way to keep track of the latest polling. I'm hopefully going to be adding a Pollster.com national average poll to the Center. I will keep the Polling Center open through the election.

On the sidebar I've updated the Blog Guides section. Blog Guides keep the site honest and are not meant to end discussion but keep discussions on topic and consistent. Again, I'll say, Blog Guides are not meant to end discussion. Check out the updated Blog Guides to see how The Fold is doing it's part for consistency.

The Fold Blog welcomes all comments as a means of engaging the political debate. Comments from new visitors may take a moment to appear on the site. Some may go through a moderator as well. Please be patient. Click here to read our comment policy.
