Much attention has been paid to tea bagger influence in NY-23, where tea bagger extremism cost the GOP a safe seat, and in the U.S. senate special election in MA last month, where Republican tea bagger Scott Brown pulled off an impressive victory. On the heels of their first ever "convention," in Nashville and their pickup in MA, why aren't tea baggers getting the same attention here in Illinois? It's not like they are short of candidates.The Illinois governor's race has tea bagger supported Adam Andrzejewski and tea bagger fondler Bill Brady (who is freaky scary). On the U.S. senate side Republicans have tea bagger hopefuls Andy Martin, Judge Don Lowery and tea bagger favorite Patrick Hughes (who is nuts by the way). There are also moderate candidates just like in NY-23.
Tea baggers have been extremely vocal, active and adamant for their circle jerks throughout the state, even if completely crazy. Considering Illinois is one of the most diverse states in the Union, the 5th largest in the country, has a world class city, a large southern contingent just as conservative as any southern state and is the home of both Lincoln and Obama, shouldn't there be a little bit more focus on the only motivated faction of the GOP?
