Are These Really the People For a 21st Century America?

Are these really the people we want to put back in charge?

Cheney: First Amendment doesn't apply to Muslims.

Rand Paul: OSHA is illegal. Let the market fix workplace safety.

Entire GOP:  Tax cuts that created the budget deficit should be extended no matter and never be offset, and just get over George Bush already.

Rep. Paul Ryan: States don't need deficit aid.  They can deal with their own problems.  Just so you know, Ryan voted in favor to bailout millionaires i.e., banks, Bear Stearns, Fannie and Freddie, Bank of America and Lehman Bros.  But aid to keep states from laying off non millionaires i.e., teachers and social workers is a bad idea.

Mitch McConnel, Rand Paul, Lyndsey Graham: Repeal the 14th Amendment or at least the part about birthright citizenship.

And this is just the loony stuff they've said today.

Do we really want to strip the First Amendment away from people solely on the basis that we disagree with them?  Do we really want to do away with workplace safety rules and let the market adjust itself for unsafe industries?  We already had that.  It was called the 19th century.   Do we really want to allow the biggest contributor to our budget deficit to continue, the Bush tax cuts?  Can we really afford to not offer states assistance to keep from laying off school teachers especially when the biggest factor for their budget deficits is the Bush economy?

America, do we really want to strip birthright citizenship away based on the fear of terrorism?  Then consider this.  Every single hijacker on September 11th was in this country legally and none were citizens.  Don't let the GOP win on fear.  The last time we allowed them to trumpet fear at the ballot they ran up a trillion dollar deficit, nearly collapsed the world's strongest economy and gave us two endless wars that they ran away from and let others inherit and try to fix.  They are a cowardly people with cavemen ideas.
