I am one of the slowest people to the racist band wagon. Heck, I'm the guy that still fully believes the tea baggers are not racists just Republicans. I really believe tea baggers would be perfectly happy with Michael Steele or Herman Cain as President of the United States. They only want a Republican back in power, that's the number one priority for them.
I'm just not that quick to conclude something is the result of racism. To me that's a pretty heavy charge, so I reserve it for substantial instances. Watching a Fox News Business segment a couple days ago I couldn't help but see it as a very negative way to portray what is official White House duties. Being that the president is black, I just saw it as very shameful.
Now it appears Fox News realizes their segment was a bit too much forcing them to sort of kind of apologize for it. Watch it for yourself and I think you'll realize their apology is pretty weak considering he's only sorry people complained about the interpretation.
Could you imagine the backlash if CNN or MSNBC had portrayed President Bush hosting a governor from a Southern State as a gathering of a bunch of inbred, toothless, mildly retarded people?
