Down Only 4 Points in SC, Gingrich Calls Off Bain Attacks
Only down 4 points in the latest round of polling out of South Carolina, and Newt Gingrich calls off his strongest, most populist hits on frontrunner Mitt Romney. Huh? Why would you call off your hardest hitting pieces that are obviously working just days before the primary? Because the whole narrative hits hard at the very core of the Republican Party: The 1% control this country and should enjoy immunity from responsibility and criticism. Or like Romney himself has been saying: criticism of 1-percenters like Romney should only be done in quiet rooms and not in public.
