Bush Defends Free Market System Ahead of G20
I love that headline. George Bush and the Republicans will take to their graves the belief that they are the protectors of the free market system. George Bush has nationalized entire industries and he and his followers still believe the free market is the way of the future, and that they alone are its true believers. George Bush has used over 1 trillion tax dollars to be dolled as welfare to lenders,
insurance companies and airline companies while giving billions of dollars in subsidies to Big Oil companies who already profit over $40 billion a year. There has been no one person do more for socialism since Karl Marx.
It's only socialism when Democrats propose such ideas. Republicans get to go before 20 of the world's strongest economies and announce with unfettered clarity and with a straight face that the best solution for our economic woes is "free markets and free people." Never will a question be asked of George Bush or the GOP about how ridiculous such a statement sounds coming from the person and Party who has instituted more socialist expanions than anyone in American history. No questions will be asked in part because Bush will give no interviews and partly because such slurs are reserved for Democratic press conferences. Bush will be allowed to ease into history clinching the mantel of capitalism and nation-building while Obama will forever fend off unsolicited labels of socialist and fascist.
