First Black President Jinx

In 1993 Republicans claimed there would be no way Bill Clinton would get re-elected.  Back then, Republicans argued, Dems had stolen the election by implanting Ross Perot-- and also because the Clintons were murdering people that disagreed with them.  When in 1996 Clinton easily coasted to re-election and had successfully turned the economy around, Republicans still claimed that he wasn't a real president and was going to destroy the country.  So, just like all good and faithful patriots do, they created controversy after controversy to bring down his presidency.  We all forget, they came very close to doing so.

Fast forward to today.  Very similar situations.  A Democratic president stuck to clean up the economic mess his very unpopular Republican predecessor left for him.  And don't forget the constant crying of Republicans calling him a fake president that wants to destroy America.  It's all very similar.  Just like in 1997, when Republicans couldn't win at the ballot, they sought to remove from office a popular president by creating scandal after scandal.  Except this time there's a problem.  Rush Limbaugh, the leader of the GOP, concludes it's impossible to remove the first black president of the Untied States.  This really has to throw a wrench in their plans.

Another Stint in Rehab Would Do You Some Good

Last Wednesday the drug-addicted Rush Limbaugh was busy floating around his new theory that President Obama was handed bin Laden by al Qaeda to help his reelection chances.  You know since they are friends and all.  By Monday Fat Boy's little warped mind had forgotten all about his theory of Obama's buddy system and blamed Obama's lack of leadership for the Middle East violence.  Forgetfulness, paranoia, rash judgment and uncontrollable lying are all signs of heavy opiate abuse.  It's probably time to get back in rehab fat boy.

Boehner Briefed Limbaugh

The Hill reported yesterday that Speaker Boehner Boner briefed the drug-addicted Rush Limbaugh on his debt plan before delivering it to his caucus.  This should come as no surprise given Fat Boy Limbaugh is the Leader of the Republican Party.  Without his stamp of approval nothing takes place.

Limbaugh Gives HCR Big Endorsement

After having spent some time in a hospital in Hawaii for what was probably a drug overdose induced arrhythmia or perhaps for popping too many Viagra pills while on another sex romp, the Leader of the Republican Party, Rush Limbaugh, commented on his America-hating radio show that the U.S. health care system was "just dandy." Further stating the "treatment I have received here was the best the world has to offer."

Strong words and I do have to say I almost agree with him. Our health care system is the best in the world. It's our access to health care that is so terrible. Drug boy would have no clue about access to health care since he is a multi-millionaire. In fact his comments highlight exactly the disparity that exists in this country between the upper-class and everyone else. Fat Boy isn't quite smart enough to figure all this out, however. He thinks his comments push along more Republican talking points to help squash reform. Uuuummm no, his comments actually demonstrate the need for reform and fully endorse socialized medicine.

As Bob Brill makes note:
What Limbaugh, a powerful and outspoken opponent of the Obama Health Care Plan, failed to mention is the medical system in Hawaii is as close to socialized medicine as there is in the United States, and, much of the Democrats reform bill is based in the Hawaii system.
Moreover, the Democratic bill just passed by the Senate is modeled after the health care system in Hawaii that was implemented in 1975!! And what did Limbaugh have to say about socialized health care, endorsed by Hillary Clinton, and passed by a Democratic senate? Look for yourself:

"The treatment I received here was the best that the world has to offer," Limbaugh said. "Based on what happened here to me, I don't think there's one thing wrong with the American health care system. It is working just fine, just dandy."

Limbaugh must have still been high when he made that comment because it is a total contradiction to everything he spouts while doing his tough guy, super macho, conservative American impersonation on the radio.

Another Republican Right Wing Extremist Arrested

Another completely crazy right wing Fox viewer was arrested over the weekend for scouting out and trespassing on Air National Guard Base at Gabreski Airport in New York. She had an XM-15 assault rifle, a shotgun, and 500 rounds of ammunition in her car when police found her. But check this out:
Genovese is a Glenn Beck fan, according to her MySpace page ( http://bit.ly/... and archived at http://www.webcitation.org/... ). "He is mad as hell and so are we. He is right and so are we", writes Genovese, who also posted a video of a Glenn Beck rant.

Genovese additionally posted an amateur video indicating her apparent affinity for right-wing militia movements.
Holy cow, just check out her MySpace page. These are the same people showing up at Tea Bagger events, the same people Republicans are dispatching out to ambush legislative town hall meetings. They watch Fox News and listen to Rush Limbaugh and are told non-stop 24/7 that Obama and the Democrats are enemies bent on destroying the country. They are led to believe by the likes of Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and other Foxers that they are Freedom Fighters with the very fabric of American society dependent upon them saving us from the road to socialism and fascism. They are extremists backed up by an entire media organization and cheered and applauded by the minority opposition party. It's pathetic and it must end.

Here's some other coverage of 4 previous Republican extremists with ties to Fox News and their fear-mongering lies.

Quickies

  • Thrice married and convicted drug dealer, Rush Limbaugh blames President Obama for Sanford cheating on his wife. Says it was so out of Sanford's character that Obama drove him to do it.
  • Failed presidential hopeful and Maverick, John McCain, says House is almost an autocracy with Pelosi in charge. His dementia must have kicked in because he neglected to mention Republican Dennis Hastert served for 8 years.
  • Phil Gingrey, Republican representative from Georgia, compared Democratic rule of Congress to the governments of Iran and North Korea. Also compared Republican minority to that of the voices of freedom being silenced in those same countries.
  • Total psycho Michelle Bachman (R-MN) says the recently passed climate bill in the House was a choice between liberty and tyranny. Tyranny of course belonging to those who favored the bill.
All of this in a couple days time. Nothing has changed from the days when they were in charge, the days when Bush ruled the world and the GOP fought endless war. They still call everything that does not agree with them anti-American or evil. It is the first thing they do when they don't get their way. It's not that they lost elections, it's that tyranny is taking over. It's not that they are the most unpopular government organization in the world, it's that their freedom fighting voice has been silenced. They are indeed perpetual victims and constantly in blame of other people.

Limbaugh: Life Influences Are Fine As Long as They Agree With Me

The leader of the GOP and convicted drug dealer, Rush Limbaugh, once again delivered his marching orders to his brown shirts about President Obama's nomination of Judge Sotomayor to the Supreme Court.
“She would be the sixth Catholic on the Supreme Court. … She’s a Catholic, a devout Catholic, she hasn’t got a record on [abortion] … I can see a possibility of supporting this nomination if I can be convinced that she does have a sensibility towards life.”
Of all things, religion-- especially one that is introduced at birth to a person such as Sotomayor's Catholicism-- is a personal life influence. Just last week Limbaugh stated that personal influences should not be allowed to rule the Bench and that Sotomayor must be stopped. As with all things Republican, personal influences are not allowed unless those influences happen to agree 100% with their own Fantasy World view.

Fat Limbaugh's comments, however, concerning Roe v. Wade couldn't be further from mainstream America than is his addiction to divorce and pills. All latest polling suggests overwhelmingly Americans do not believe Roe should be overturned.

Limbaugh Chides Powell About Courage

Yesterday, Gen. Powell rightfully mentioned in a speech that the Republican Party would be better off not to heed the words of Limbaugh. Der Führer's response this afternoon was to call for Powell to leave the Party adding “I don’t care what Colin Powell says. This kind of stuff is said about me three times a day … and Colin Powell is just another liberal. He’s just mad at me because I’m the one person in the country who had the guts to explain [the endorsement], there can be no other explanation for it.”

No other explanation for it, Limbaugh has the guts-- the courage-- to stand up in the face of adversity facing this country and stare it down. He is the most patriotic person to ever live. The Grandest example of servitude to our nation and hands down the head of the GOP.

The Leader of the Republican Party is a man with two deferments from combat service in Vietnam-- a time when his country needed him the most-- three time divorcee, and a convicted drug dealer. There's really no need to define Gen. Powell's service to this country. For the sake of distinguishing courage from outright slander and delusion, it's necessary if for a brief moment. Powell served two tours in Vietnam earning a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal. In all he spent over 30 years in the U.S. Army serving multiple posts including Chairman of the Joints Chief during the Gulf War. It's an exemplary record of service for his country the least of which is decorated with blood-stained courage from beginning to end.

In comparison, Limbaugh's service to this country doesn't equal the cyst on his ass that he used as an excuse to avoid combat during Vietnam of when he was of prime war fighting age. He's a draft dodger that earns $40 million a year to spread the most filthy, vicious, demented lies about people who do not bow down to worship his every word.

Needless to say, Gen. Powell is a Republican who has dedicated every ounce of his being to this country. But he's a Republican that Rush Limbaugh no longer wants in his Party because Powell does not support the vile that spews from the mouth of their Leader. In the modern GOP not supporting Limbaugh is grounds for dismissal. The Brown Shirts will soon adhere to Rush's order and see to it that Powell be struck from their roster. Marching lockstep, the GOP continues on its path of self-destruction.

Another Republican Crawls Back to Fat Limbaugh

A week or so ago Rep. Todd Tiahrt, Republican from Kansas, declared in an interview with a Kansas City newspaper that Rush Limbaugh was not the leader of the Republican Party. "No, no, he's just an entertainer," Tiahrt said. This week after witnessing the attention and backsliding from grace that had resulted from calling der Führer an "entertainer," Tiahrt's office clarified that "Rush is a great leader of the conservative movement in America -- not a party leader responsible for election losses." Of course the drug-addicted Limbaugh isn't responsible for election losses, no dictator is. If Rush had his way there would not be a Democratic ballot, only a one party Republican system. It's just when you run someone against a Limbaugh-led Republican do they lose.

Tiahrt's spokesman also went on to say "[n]othing the congressman said diminished the role Rush has played and continues to play in the conservative movement." Fantasie-Welt, mein lieber Führer.

der Führer Speaks

Fresh out of rehab and jail, the leader of the Republican Party rallied the base and directed his marching orders to a frenzied crowd at the CPAC event. Energizing a base that celebrates the nuclear destruction of the nation's third largest city, Rush Limbaugh used his coveted catch phrases about freedom, patriotism and capitalism to direct scorn in the way of President Obama.
It was not us asking whether Barack Obama was authentic. What we were asking is: Is he wrong? We concluded, yes. We still think so. But we didn't ask if he was authentically black. We didn't say, as some Southern Christian Leadership Conference leaders said: Barack is not authentic, he's not got any slave blood. He's really not down for the struggle, but his wife is. So don't expect the race industry to go away. Southern Christian Leadership Conference -- you may not know this, because it wasn't reported in the Drive-By Media -- the racism, the sexism, the bigotry that we're all charged with, just so you across the United States of America know, and you'll see demonstrated here as the afternoon goes on, doesn't exist on our side. We want everybody to succeed.
Rush Limbaugh is the Republican Party. He is their mind, their sole and their voice. Throughout the destruction of the GOP, Limbaugh is but a lone survivor and the Party is his to form and mold however he sees fit. The members cheer and clap for a man they see as the only one able to deliver them back to glory. And exaggerating I am not.
Limbaugh's impassioned keynote speech, punctuated by chest-thumping, fist-pumping and chants of "USA" from the crowd, capped off three days of talk at CPAC focusing on rebuilding the Republican Party.
That's from a major news source, not from me. They yell and cheer and thump their chests like cavemen and believe Limbaugh is truly the embodiment of the USA. Every word he speaks is the truth in their eyes and ears and only Limbaugh can place the USA back on the true conservative course our Founding Fathers intended. I just wonder if Limbaugh passed out his pills of Viagra to the audience to get the circle jerk moving.

Like Sheep, GOPers Follow Limbaugh's Stimulus Opposition

The word is the stimulus vote will take place in the senate on Tuesday. Whether that happens or not, I have no clue. Half of what's going on in Washington right now I have no clue. But one thing is certain is that the Republican Party is probably going to offer at best 3-4 votes in favor of the bill. After taking their cue from , a man who has to know more about stimulating things than anyone on earth, the Republican Party and its devout followers want America to believe that they are truly the ones who know how to fix the economy.

Yes, that's right. The Party that presided over that last 8 years of total failure, the Party that took the largest surplus in history and turned it into the largest deficit in history, the Party that passed more pork-barrel spending than any in history, the Party that stood firmly behind and exalted the presidency of George W. Bush, wants us all to believe that the stimulus bill is nothing but pork and that Rush Limbaugh knows, now that he's out of rehab, exactly how to solve the current crisis.

After 8 years of never once opposing a spending bill by their Grand Leader, after 8 years of never once caring about fiscal matters, after 8 years of doing nothing but making government bigger, they want us all to believe that they are fiscal conservatives who care about government growing too big. They line up behind their ideological and moral leader and drug dealer, Rush Limbaugh, call it "porkulus" and claim they and only they know what's best for the country.

They are sheep and their policies have failed this country. Giving them any sort of credence now is irresponsible and a disgrace to the historical Democratic victories in November.

Make Yourself Comfortable

Less than two weeks into Barack Obama's four year term as president, we've vividly seen how the minority GOP and the media expect government to operate and what it means to be the minority party. In the Republican Fantasy World, which is increasingly engulfing mainstream media, the minority party actually gets majority rights. And the Constitutional law that says a bill passes the senate with a simple majority actually becomes a super majority vote to give the minority Republicans more power. And now we see the face of true bipartisanship, Rush Limbaugh, demanding that not only should the senate be controlled by 60 votes, but also since the GOP received roughly 46% of the vote in November that legislation should be divided up by electoral returns. Yes, that's right. Republicans control the senate because the Democrats only have a 18 seat majority and Republicans get to control 46% of legislation because that's truly how a bipartisan government operates.

Never in the history of America has a minority party enjoyed so many luxuries in governance and media portrayal. One would almost think the Republicans enjoyed huge amounts of success in November of 2008. Constitutional laws get thrown out to pander to the minority; legislation gets divvied up to as not insult a party that lost over 50 house seats in two years and 14 senate seats. Even when the Democrats were at their weakest period, 2001-2006, never did they have as few seats as what the GOP has now. So how come during the first part of this decade when the Democrats were supposedly weak and powerless yet still had more seats in government than the GOP has now, did we not have a unconstitutional 60 vote senate requirement and did not divide legislation up according to electoral returns-- returns that barely favored Republicans?

Alas, though, we all are forced to succumb to the Republican Fantasy World where elections and simple majority votes no longer matter. It's a world led by a right wing, hate-filled, drug addict who is the epitome of macho, Viagra-popping conservatism. Even when you are as impotent as Rush Limbaugh is, you still have the most stroke around when you live in the Republican Fantasy World. Welcome to it.

The End of the Movement

Obama: "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done."

I'll add, you can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and expect to know anything about anything. A party's whose political intellect that comes from a drug-addicted, hate-filled entertainer can't be taken seriously on anything. It's over.

Powell- Right Wing Reaction Update

I mentioned it would be interesting to see the right wing's reaction to Colin Powell's endorsement of Barack Obama and maybe I should have used the word predictable instead.

Here's the drug-addicted Rush Limbaugh's very interesting predictable response:
Secretary Powell says his endorsement is not about race," Limbaugh wrote in an email. "OK, fine. I am now researching his past endorsements to see if I can find all the inexperienced, very liberal, white candidates he has endorsed. I'll let you know what I come up with.
Well first of all Powell is a General, using Secretary diminishes his standing. Second of all, like Matt Stoler says, I'm pretty certain Powell endorsed George W. Bush in 2000 who was extremely inexperienced, white and turned out to be very liberal. So there ya go fat boy, didn't take a lot of research now did it? Race has nothing to do with it retard.

McCain's Treason, Media Looks Other Way

Last year Republicans were crying treason when Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi went to Syria to meet President Assad. Right wing blogs were full of hate posts calling for her prosecution (just an example of the colorful commentary on the right about Pelosi’s delegation).

Brad Blakeman, a member of President Bush’s Senior Staff, called Pelosi the “Neville Chamberlain of our time,” for going to Syria. He also said that her trip was giving aid and comfort to our enemies, a charge of treason in every sense of the word. The right wing was infuriated that a member of Congress would circumvent the president and his foreign policy powers. The Wall Street Journal, that glistening beckon of rightward thinking that it is, even printed an op-ed by a former Reagan government member that went as far to say that Pelosi may have committed a felony for going to Syria.

Republicans simmered somewhat when they realized their very own Speaker of the House, Dennis Hastert, traveled abroad in 1997 openly expressing that he was bypassing President Clinton. Though the call for Pelosi’s treasonous behavior didn’t fully subside because, after all, reality to Republicans is a pick and choose sport

Since April 2007 right through this week, the worst thing possible for a member of Congress to do was conduct foreign policy without the blessing of President Bush. All that changed when John McCain decided to go ahead and pretend to be president.

McCain has openly admitted that he talks to the President of Georgia every day. On Wednesday he said he was sending his very own delegation to the war shocked region to none other than conduct foreign policy. This is blatant subversion of the United States government. This is treason—just not when Republicans do it.

Where is the media at in this? Where are the op-ed’s calling for McCain’s prosecution? Where is Fox News and its endless coverage of the McCain treason saga? Where is the drug-addicted Rush Limbaugh and his blind followers at in calling for McCain’s immediate prosecution? In fact, where is the Democratic Party? Where are the Democratic surrogates on TV calling McCain the “Chamberlain of our time?” What McCain is doing is deliberately bypassing the President of the United States in order to conduct his own foreign policy.

If Barack Obama sent a delegation to Georgia all of this would be a different story. He would be the “celebrity” in front of the cameras pretending to be president. Uber patriot Sean Hannity would immediately be calling for his passport to be confiscated. Republicans are not only allowed to get away with such obvious treason but also allowed to spew their hatred all over the airwaves, internet and every media outlet in the world when their opposition does far less than what they are doing right now. John McCain is allowed, by all means encouraged, to do as he pleases without a single criticism from the media. There should be equal treatment of the Pelosi story and the McCain delegation. That would require journalists to do a little bit of work and not rely on GOP talking points to write thier stories, however.

It's Good to be White & Have Fox News

Remember all the garbage Michelle Obama went through, and still is going through, for saying that she's finally proud of her country? Yeah, I can't imagine why a black person would have any animosity towards the great USA at all. It's not like her ancestors were stolen, thrown onto slave ships, denied freedom, governed by Jim Crow and then finally once given equal rights told never to bring up the past and to just get on with their lives. It's a good thing she has so much to be proud of finally.

Well Fox News still loves to run that clip of Michelle Obama stating her newfound love for her country. Super Tough Guy Bill O'Reilly routinely mentions that Michelle's words are troubling for someone wanting to be president or the First Lady. And über patriot Sean Hannity goes out of his way constantly to bring up Michelle's words. This one sentence by Michelle is enough for the right wing to want to convince the public that the Obama's don't love America. How extremely ethical of them. There's no bias, it's an exact quote from Michelle, never mind the context or the background.

But what happens when the Maverick and Republican candidate for president tells Sean Hannity right on Fox News that he "didn't really love America?" Fox News completely removes McCain's quote from the transcript. That's what happens. Never to be seen again. Or what happens when McCain, in a town hall meeting where he's supposed to be on his A-game without a teleprompter remember, tells a citizen that it's tough to be proud of this country? Not a mention by Fox News about any of it. Not only do they completely remove McCain's words from the transcript on their very own program, there's no O'Reilly constantly running the footage of McCain decrying that it's tough to be proud of America or that he never really loved America. There's no Sean Hannity begging his viewers to realize that this latest move by McCain has to be enough to "end him politically" like he often does Obama. Fox News wipes the board clean for McCain. No other news organization picks it up. Drudge isn't linking to it. The drug addicted Limbaugh isn't given the right wing talking points about it. It never happened in the Republican Fantasy World. McCain, simply because he's Republican (at least this week he is), gets overlooked not once but twice for saying the very same thing that Michelle Obama said.

Is there a different standard? Yeah, there's a different standard all right. There's a different world. One world is full of Fox News viewers and right wing revisionists and the other world sits back and lets it happen. What could I possibly say to defend anyone that removed Michelle's words from a transcript? But the right wing will have plenty of reasons why it's perfectly ethical for Fox News to do it for McCain.

Bush Arming Terrorists

I'll be glad when Barack Obama is president and we can start calling Saudi Arabia a terrorist supporting state again. Mark my word, just like when Republicans are out of power they all of a sudden become "fiscally responsible conservatives" again, once Obama is president they will start calling supplying Saudi Arabia with nuclear weapons a terrorist supporting activity.

From the WSJ:
Last month, while the American people were becoming the personal ATMs of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was in Saudi Arabia signing away an even more valuable gift: nuclear technology. In a ceremony little-noticed in this country, Ms. Rice volunteered the U.S. to assist Saudi Arabia in developing nuclear reactors, training nuclear engineers, and constructing nuclear infrastructure. While oil breaks records at $130 per barrel or more, the American consumer is footing the bill for Saudi Arabia's nuclear ambitions.
I cannot imagine what super tough guy Bill O'Reilly would say if President Obama gave nuclear weapons intelligence and materials to the country where 15 of the 19 hijackers came from. I know über patriot Sean Hannity would never let it slide that a Democratic president was supplying the largest state sponsor of terrorism with WMD capabilities. And the drug addicted Rush Limbaugh would have his millions of followers in a panic if Obama was aiding and abetting terrorism.

But not George Bush and not when it's Republicans. Because to clowns like O'Reilly and Hannity, Limbaugh and Hugh Hewitt, it's perfectly alright for George Bush to give WMD to Saudi Arabia. They care more about flag pin lapels and tough macho war talk and terrorist fist jabs than about national security. Bush can run up the largest deficit in our nation's history; invade a country that had nothing to do with 9/11; openly supply the country where 15 of the 19 hijackers came from with WMD capabilities while we pay them $4 damn dollars a gallon for gasoline, and not a word from the right wing about any of it. This shouldn't surprise any of us. After all it was the American Right Wing Idol Ronald Reagan that also armed Iran, the country the Republicans want to attack next.
