The media station that actually owns the video footage that Sean Hannity and Fox News claimed to have been hidden from the public confirmed yesterday that the video was never hidden and that it has been public for quite some time.
Right wing radical Sean Hannity tried to claim that the 1990 video of then young law student Barack Obama had been hidden by Obama surrogates to hide his radicalism. Hannity personally claimed "...friends of Barack Obama have been keeping under lock and key.” And that it “was intentionally covered up according to a close confidant of the president, and that’s Harvard professor Charles Ogletree.” None of that is true. Hannity is a total liar.
All this goes without mentioning that Dr. Bell is not in any way, shape or form a radical. He was a longtime civil rights leader, a veteran of the Korean War and a well respected academic and American. So pretty much the exact opposite of Sean Hannity.

Stewart Reminds Everyone of Just How Radical Sean Hannity Is
Jon Stewart does a great job reminding viewers that Sean Hannity has a long history of hanging out with some very radical people.
Sure Oliver North is a criminal. And sure G. Gordon Liddy is a domestic terrorist. But Stewart leaves out one important character, however. Hal Turner: A known White Supremacist that Hannity used to allow airtime on his radio show. Hannity embraced Turner's radicalism fully.

Sean Hannity and Hal Turner
Sean Hannity after the viewing of what he called the never before seen, media-hidden video of law student Barack Obama:
"Hannity was enthralled, of course. 'This does raise questions,' he said. 'What are people to grab from this… Is it that Barack Obama seems to always gravitate towards the most radical people?”Always gravitates towards the most radical people? Hannity surely knows a thing or two about embracing radicals. Him and White Supremacist Hal Turner embraced in many ways:
Turner was once a prominent activist in New Jersey's Republican Party. To area conservatives, he was best known by his moniker for call-ins to the Sean Hannity Show, "Hal from North Bergen." For years, Hannity offered his top-rated radio show as a regular forum for Turner's occasionally racist, always over-the-top rants. Hannity also chatted with him off-air, allegedly offering encouragement to Turner as he struggled to overcome a cocaine habit and homosexual leanings. Turner has boasted that Hannity once invited Turner and his son on to the set of Fox News's Hannity and Colmes. Today, Turner lurks on the fringes of the far right, spouting hate-laced tirades on his webcast radio show. Hannity, meanwhile, remains mum about his former alliance with the neo-Nazi, homing in instead on the supposed racism of black and Latino Democrats.Telephone conversations, air time, counseling about gay leanings and drug habits, invitations to places of work, all that is a total embrace of Hal Turner's racist agenda.

Hannity and Fox News Have Truly Lost Their Minds
Last night Sean Hannity promised and delivered never before seen footage of a young Barack Obama engaging in a radical speech designed at instigating racial tension in America. Hannity had been hyping the never before seen footage since the death of Andrew Breitbart last week. Breitbart had possession of the tape but kept the video hidden on purpose as he announced at this year's CPAC wanting to only to slowly leak it out as we got closer to November. His sudden death changed that plan.
Hannity and Fox News hyped the video as a central theme of Obama's indoctrination that has been hidden by the mainstream media. They claimed the MSM had kept the video under lock and key to keep the wool pulled over the public's eyes. Last week when News Corpse released the video on their website, Breitbart's team released a scathing statement that the video had been selectively edited and did not show the radicalization of Obama's ideology. The media, again, was hiding the real Barack Obama from the people.
So last night Hannity showed the whole unedited version for the first time ever. Well, kind of. PBS had already aired the entire unedited version in 2008. The whole tape, all of it, has been up on YouTube since 2008 as well. Nothing in it is secret. Nothing in it has been kept under lock in key by the MSM to protect Obama. What in it is so disturbing that has the right wing lunatics demanding be shown to the public? In the video a young Obama hugs a tenured Harvard professor who had taken a leave of absence to protest equality at the university. Get that. He hugged a black professor who was protesting the tenure process at Harvard. Wait, maybe you didn't read it correctly. While in law school at Harvard, Obama is on video speaking nicely about another black man who was a Harvard professor that claimed the school's tenure policies were not equal to minorities. He gave a nice little speech and hugged him. He hugged him. He hugged the black professor.

Hits Them Where It Hurts
Of all the crazy lies and denialism Republicans make-up to justify their Fantasy World, their insistence President Obama deserves no credit for killing bin Laden is second only to their insistence that the president wanted bin Laden kept alive but was overruled by the military. Super Tough Guy Patriot Sean Hannity makes the case for why Republicans not only live in a Fantasy World but rely on complete lies to justify their ideology.
“They’ve got a foreign policy that shows a lot of weakness,” Hannity said. “I know the President will say they got bin Laden, putting that aside.”
“And the public gives him credit for that,” Luntz interjected.
A reluctant Hannity replied, “But it wouldn’t have happened if he had his way, and I think that could be proven as well on tapes.”The fact bin Laden was killed at the order of President Obama, a Democratic president elected with the most votes in the history of America, hits a raw nerve with Republicans. In their world, only Republicans and people who support Republicans are tough, manly and strong enough to kill the most wanted man in the world. Only war-cheerleaders who constantly chest thump invasion after invasion and who routinely label Democrats as panty waists are serious enough-- and love America enough-- to administer foreign policy and seek revenge for 9/11.
Anything that deviates from such ideology is a conspiracy only meant at destroying America. That's why Hannity alludes to "tapes" proving Obama didn't want bin Laden killed. It's a right wing baked conspiracy theory that allows them to exist in an alternative universe. Republicans believe that the president ordered the military to stand down and the military vetoed it and successfully took out bin Laden. It was only after the successful operation did Obama take credit. Because, as we all know, had it not been successful he would have thrown the military under the bus and ordered them all executed for treason. I'm not making this stuff up either. This is mainstream Republican thinking. This is their every day conversations. They not only believe, they beat off to it.
Why do they do it? Why must they concoct complete lies against their country? I haven't read a better explanation in years than Simon Malory's:
The death of Bin Laden has proven to be an intractable problem for a conservative commentariat that relies upon facile and outdated stereotypes of the opposition. Say what you will about the Obama administration's expanded use of drone warfare and targeted assassinations, but it certainly does not comport with the flower-child caricature that has served as a foil for talk radio tough guys. And the death of the world's most prominent anti-American terrorist is not easily explained away.
Hannity: Obama Grew Up in Kenya
Okay, so maybe Obama was born in America but he grew up in Kenya you punk!!!
This is just crazy folks. How can this possibly be our discourse, still??? There are way more important things going on in this country to be dealing with other than right wing nutjob conspiracy theories. Someone like Hannity should be yanked off the air by Fox. They should disown the guy. But they won't. They pay him millions of dollars to spread lies about the President of the United States. They pay him millions so he can go on teevee to pretend he's an ordinary average American barely getting by. The only thing worse than Sean Hannity are the people who watch and listen to his shows and believe every word he says.
You're an idiot Hannity. But people who watch you are completely insane.

Quickies
- Sarah Palin won't run. Shocker. Yawn.
- Michelle Bachmann, yet another female right wing lunatic in the mold of Palin, lied today by saying her presidential campaign had over 250,000 donors. She's crazy.
- Ron Paul called the Occupy Wall St. protest a "legitimate effort."
- Turns out Sean Hannity's claim that Obama was hanging out with Black Panthers in 2007 is a total lie. Yeah, real shocker.
- Fox News' Steve Doocy, once again, distorts the facts about Reagan's presidency. Doocy claimed that Obama's policies won't work and he should instead look at Reagan's "permanent tax cuts" to get the economy on the right track. As County Fair notes, Reagan's tax cuts in '81 and '86 were offset by his 11 tax increases. One of those 11 increases was the largest tax increase during peacetime in history. Never mind any of that though. As always though, we aren't talking about Real Reagan here. Republicans are simply talking about Fantasy World Reagan.
Hannity Claims Bush Gave Obama 5.6 Unemployment Rate
In what can only be a lie of gigantic proportions, Fox News host Sean Hannity exceedingly bragged that President Obama inherited a 5.6% unemployment rate from George W. Bush.
This is just hysterical. As County Fair notes, the unemployment rate in Dec. of 2008 was 7.2%. By January 2009 it was 7.6%.
Such lies, however, is the very purpose of Fox News. It's their Mission Statement. It is why they are the Gatekeepers of the Republican Fantasy World. Millions of people watch their network. They hear Uber Patriot Sean Hannity say George Bush gave Obama an unemployment rate at 5.6% and then the good little Republican viewers that they are, go out into the public and repeat such lies. It's how it works. It is the purpose of their existence.
As you'll recall, last year Hannity bragged about Bush creating 10 million new jobs. Of course that never happened. Total net job creation under the reign of King George II was zero. The worst since the Great Depression. But not in the Republican Fantasy World. He created 10 million new jobs. Gave Obama a 5.6% unemployment rate and turned over an economy as strong as ever.
This is what Republicans really believe. Just talk to one of them and you'll quickly learn they really believe it.

Republican: Egypt in Revolt Means Iran Should Be Bombed
The people who listen to Fox News radio are constantly told that spreading war is a good thing. Freedom Bombs are pretty much the answer to every situation in the world. And when Uber Patriot Sean Hannity has Tough Guy John Bolton on his hate-radio talk show, there isn't any question that can't be answered with the casual reply of bombing Iran.
HANNITY: Do you think that the Israelis are going to have to strike — they are going to have to take action. … As you pointed out, El Baradei, you know, ran cover for the Iranians for all those years that he was with the IAEA. And, I just don’t think the Israelis have much longer to wait…they’re going to have to act in fairly short order.
BOLTON: I think that’s right. I don’t think there’s much time to act. And I think the fall of a Egyptian government committed to the peace agreement will almost certainly speed that timetable up.I don't know about you, but listening to two guys who have never seen an ounce of combat in their entire lives shoot their wads to spreading Glorious War the world over is better than a warm blanket on this cold winter morning.
Hannity: Reliable Dem Sources Tell Me Obama is Unhinged
Über Patriot Sean Hannity said on his radio show Monday that he has very reliable Democratic sources who have told him that President Obama is crazy.
There are some Democrats that cue me into things. I got to tell you that the feeling among some people in the White House is that this president is unhinged, that he’s detached, that he’s losing it, he’s obsessed with critics, very specifically obsessed with Fox News, he can’t stand Biden, he hates the Clintons, the Clintons hate him.If there is anybody that knows anything about being unhinged it's Sean Hannity.
That the only thing he is passionate about seems to be ESPN and playing golf and and playing some basketball, the only thing that gets his interest. Infighting apparently, and finger pointing is at an all-time high, if the President is brought bad news on the economy he has a meltdown every time he hears it. And this is what people — and I’m telling you my sources are reliable — are telling me.
In all seriousness, people who listen to Sean Hannity lack a chromosome. But people who actually believe he has reliable Democratic sources make Jeffry Dahmer look sane.
Here's the audio:
Fox News Edits Another Clip of President Obama to Give False Impression on Tax Policy
A few weeks ago I was emailed a clip of fake journalist Jon Stewart nailing Fox News employee Sean Hannity for editing a clip of President Obama saying he wanted to raise taxes. The Hannity clip was very deceptive and made the president appear as if he was saying everyone's taxes would go up. Hannity is a Republican and that's what he does. He's dishonest and a coward. But millions of people watch his show and believe everything he says. Here's the clip of Stewart making Hannity look like a complete fool.
Yesterday Fox News did it again. This time it was on Fox's morning show where Steve Doocy played a selectively edited clip to make it look like President Obama was saying that he couldn't give a tax break to the top 2% of Americans.
After playing the edited clip over and over again, Doocy blasted the president and called him a thief.
Had Fox News not edited the clip of the president and let him finish his sentence, its audience would have heard the president saying that he can't give the top 2% of Americans a tax cut and still lower the deficit.
Fair and balanced just as long as it protects the Republican Fantasy World.

"When asked if he would modify his position on the Bush-era tax cuts to only increase taxes on those making at least $1 million, President Obama on Monday said the country simply could not afford it.After all, it's the deficit that Republicans are so concerned about, right? Fox News constantly airs footage of Republicans being very concerned about an out of control deficit. The most watched news program in America also loves to throw up nifty little graphs showing just how huge the deficit is. Suffice to say, all good fiscal conservatives like the people who watch Fox News are extremely concerned about reining in that deficit. So concerned about it, in fact, that they selectively edit a clip of the president precisely outlining the quickest way to rein in that deficit. But Fox News doesn't want its audience to hear that. They want people to hear that he's a thief and wants to raise everyone's taxes. So they resort to editing and scripting that James Cameron in Hollywood would be proud of and blast the President of the United States for something he never said.
'I can't give tax cuts to the top two percent of Americans -- 86 percent of that going to Americans making $1 million or more -- and lower the deficit at the same time," he told CNBC. "I don't have the math.'"
Fair and balanced just as long as it protects the Republican Fantasy World.
So Crazy, Rove Looks Sane
You know the GOP is in a mess when Karl Rove goes on Fox News to tell Super Patriot Sean Hannity that Christine O'Donnell is "nutty." What's worse is Hannity thinks she's great. That means Rove is actually the sane voice in the GOP at the moment. Say that again, Rove is actually the sane voice. One more time, Rove is actually the sane voice...
Giving Liars a Bad Rep
It wasn't that long ago when Sean Hannity, that Defender of Great Republican Lies that he is, bequeathed upon his millions of viewers that George Bush created 10 million new jobs for this country. Calling that a lie seems too nice. It's like calling Jeffrey Dahmer a murderer. Just seems too nice of a title for a psychopath.
I'm not sure if Hannity and Fox News just make stuff up as they go along or if they really put some effort into misleading the masses. They say pathological liars don't require much premeditation to conjure up something to get them through until their next lie. So maybe that's the mode of operation at Fox. Just set pathological liars down in front of the camera and let them do their thing. However they eventually decide to transmit their lies, one thing is certain: they have no limits. Hannity tried it again two days ago but this time he did it with Saint Ronnie.
Though Reagan did see job creation, he by no means created 21 million new jobs. Instead the number is ~16 million. Now that's nothing to laugh at. So why lie about it? Oh, it's because Hannity is a pathological liar that's why. But we can't stop there with uncovering Hannity's complete insanity. Look at his claim that Reagan doubled federal revenue. How true is that?
It's still a lie. Revenue during the Reagan years increased no doubt about that. In terms of raw numbers it increased 51%. Adjusted for inflation, it increased about 15%. So maybe he's a little off on that. Close right? When you consider every president since WWII witnessed an increase in revenue including Clinton's increase of 75%, Reagan really is no stand out. And you can't possibly conclude Reagonomics contributed to the increase when EVERY PRESIDENT SAW AN INCREASE. Except that's exactly what Hannity does. It's called the modern Republican movement. When your legacy doesn't equal your so-called principles, lie.
Again, I'll remind everyone. If you bring this sort of stuff up, you are only demonstrating your hatred of America and your complete disregard for fair and balanced journalism. Not to mention you are only siding with the terrorists when you point out conservatism has nothing to do with Reagan or Bush.

SEAN HANNITY: You know, Conservative Victory, I identify myself as a Reagan conservative...Just like Bush did not create 10 million new jobs, Reagan did not create 21 million. Actually Bush had a net job creation of ZERO. It was the first decade since the Great Depression that America did not witness job creation. What a great legacy! No wonder Republicans like Hannity have to lie to keep people from knowing the truth.
GRETA VAN SUSTERN: What is that?
HANNITY: Reagan conservative? It's simple. You know, Reagan was magical in terms of... He inherited... Wanna talk about the worst economy since the Great Depression? You know, interest rates were twenty-one and a half percent, double-digit unemployment, inflation was out of control, and Reagan came into office and he said "we can reverse this." And all the Democrats at the time said "you know what, it's not going to work, Reaganomics is going to fail." He drops the top marginal rates from seventy to twenty-eight percent... Lo and behold revenues in eight years doubled to the federal government... Twenty-one million new jobs are created and it ends up, at that point in time, being the longest period of peacetime economic growth in American history. It worked.
Though Reagan did see job creation, he by no means created 21 million new jobs. Instead the number is ~16 million. Now that's nothing to laugh at. So why lie about it? If It's Republican, It's a Revolution
Within minutes of Brown's senate victory in MA., Über Patriot Sean Hannity declared it a Revolution!
Just like I said yesterday, it does not matter if the GOP wins or loses cause everything they do is victory.
Republicans pick up one senate seat of which the Dems still control by 18 seats and it's a Revolution! Interesting to note when the Democrats took back Congress in 2006, and then increased their majorities in 2008 to levels not seen in a generation and reclaimed the White House, Fox News portrayed it as an enemy occupation of the country. It's only when Republicans win does Fox News portray it as anything to do with freedom and America.
As always, Fox News talking heads know nothing about actual revolutions where real people fight, bleed and die. It's all about the big Freedom Fighting talk. Hannity has never fought for anything his entire life. He's paid millions of dollars by Fox News to glorify the feign existence of a political party.

Pretty Certain These Should Be Points Made by Someone Other Than a Comedian
Fox News' Uber Patriot Sean Hannity gets busted using footage of the 9/12 Tea Bagger protest for Michelle Bachmann's Tea Bagger protest two weeks ago. Big deal right? Well, considering only about 4,000 people showed up at psycho chick's rally, using footage of one that had 20 times that is neither Fair or Balanced. To me, though, the real story is look who it took to bust Fox!
I'll say again, the only way to effectively stop Fox is if other media networks hammer them for their coverage. Until then a fake news program is the best we got.
*Update:
Hannity, sort of kind of apologizes for cropping video of 9/12 Tea Bagger protest to make Bachmann's protest look bigger. Again, just goes to show how a fake news program is doing the work of network media.

Tea Bagger Porn
A tad bit of truth would really do the Republican Tea Bagger movement some good. But when reality means you are the very things you hate, it takes massive lies to keep yourself going every day. Fox News host Sean Hannity helps his fellow Tea Baggers do just that by LYING OUT HIS SKINNY ASS THAT 20,000 TEA BAGGERS ATTENDED LAST WEEKEND'S CIRCLE JERK. Absolutely no evidence to back him but giving Tea Baggers a hard on is really all his job is.
Another Republican Right Wing Extremist Arrested
Another completely crazy right wing Fox viewer was arrested over the weekend for scouting out and trespassing on Air National Guard Base at Gabreski Airport in New York. She had an XM-15 assault rifle, a shotgun, and 500 rounds of ammunition in her car when police found her. But check this out:
Here's some other coverage of 4 previous Republican extremists with ties to Fox News and their fear-mongering lies.
Genovese is a Glenn Beck fan, according to her MySpace page ( http://bit.ly/... and archived at http://www.webcitation.org/... ). "He is mad as hell and so are we. He is right and so are we", writes Genovese, who also posted a video of a Glenn Beck rant.Holy cow, just check out her MySpace page. These are the same people showing up at Tea Bagger events, the same people Republicans are dispatching out to ambush legislative town hall meetings. They watch Fox News and listen to Rush Limbaugh and are told non-stop 24/7 that Obama and the Democrats are enemies bent on destroying the country. They are led to believe by the likes of Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and other Foxers that they are Freedom Fighters with the very fabric of American society dependent upon them saving us from the road to socialism and fascism. They are extremists backed up by an entire media organization and cheered and applauded by the minority opposition party. It's pathetic and it must end.
Genovese additionally posted an amateur video indicating her apparent affinity for right-wing militia movements.

Palin: We Are Headed Toward Socialism (2 Updates)
Sarah Palin tells Super Patriot Sean Hannity that America is heading in the direction of socialism. She goes on to mention that the new administration is doing nothing to reign in spending or shrink government. Is there anything more ignorant and more oblivious to history than the modern GOP?If you add Reagan's two-terms, Bush 1's term, and Bush 2's two-terms you get 20 years of Republican rule in America. Not one time did the GOP ever reign in spending or shrink government, but now they expect-- no demand-- a Democratic administration must do it in order to not be spending us down the road of socialism. There is nothing, not an ounce of evidence to point to that suggests Republicans govern with their so-called "core principles." In fact never in American history has government grew larger and been more fiscally reckless than when the GOP was in power.
But more amazing is that during the Glorious Reign of George W. Bush, when government grew at a faster rate than anytime since WWII and when spending became more out of control than at any time in our history, did the GOP ever once chide Bush for his policies or call it socialism. They praised him as a bold and strong leader and spoke endlessly about his courage. It is the epitome of being mentally brain dead to look upon history and conclude the GOP stands for fiscal responsibility and small government. And it is totally inexcusable to allow Sarah Palin and other right wing extremists off the hook on this.
*Update:
As if we needed more evidence of the ignorance surrounding the GOP, one mustn't look any further than today's call from the right wing to boycott GM. Why not boycott AIG, or Lehman Brothers, or Fannie and Freddie or the 13 other banks Bush socialized?
The GOP is not against socialism or Big Government one bit. While in power the GOP socialized more private industry and bailed out more private companies than any political Party ever has in American history. They are only against it when Democrats do it. And then want to pretend like they've never done any such thing and are small government, fiscal conservatives. Their delusion is a sickness brought about by forced amnesia.
**Update:
As it seems, this post was picked up on another thread at Scout.com, of which I am fan (thanks PDH). Not sure of the initial purpose of linking to this on a sports board; nonetheless, I will address it briefly. The thread asks the question if this post is offensive or not. To Republicans and conservatives I can see how it can be seen as such. But really, what do you have to refute the claims I make? When did Reagan ever shrink government or "reign in spending." When in the last 20 years of Republican Rule did small government, fiscal conservatism lead the way? Only those living in a Fantasy World can claim Republican rule leads to small government capitalism.
That brings us to zigbee's reply on the discussion thread.
"this is NOT the great depression. Unemployment is at a 25 year high. Last I checked the great depression was, uh, about 70 years ago and unemployment was at 25%. Cuting taxes and government spending is the way to get this economy going as Reagan did.........now, 3-2-1 here comes the conservative bash..."My first question is what in the world constitutes a "conservative" in the first place. Secondly, Reagan raised taxes 11 different times. He also instituted the largest corporate tax increase in history. Is that the conservatism/Republicanism you are referring to zigbee? Or was it that Reagan tripled the national debt during his 8 years that makes him a conservative? It never fails, the answer to all the world's problems, most assuredly America's problems, from Republicans is to follow the Great and Wise Reagan who did nothing of the sort Republicans claim he did. It is a Fantasy to think Reagan set the bar for conservative government. It only coincides with those who think the last 8 years have been excellent for our country. No time did Reagan ever shrink government or cut spending. It's really time to grow up.
Dick Cheney Treason
Fourteen days ago, any mention by a former government official, much less a former vice-president, that did not highly support George Bush and express great satisfaction in the job he was doing would have landed in the MSM as treasonous activity. Here's the ever so fair and balanced Fox News unequivocally stating as their lead talking point on Hannity & Colmes that any attack on the president during time of war is "unconscionable." The Fox News lede was referring to a speech former vice president Al Gore gave about the Iraq war. Where's the media at in doing the same for Dick Cheney?
